Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all personal styling services provided by Refined Personal Styling (“Refined,” “we,” “us,” or “Stylist”). By purchasing services or completing checkout, you (“Client”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms.


1. Services

Refined Personal Styling provides professional personal styling and image consulting services. Services may include, but are not limited to:

  • Personal shopping

  • Wardrobe curation or closet edits

  • Style consultations (virtual or in-person)

  • Outfit building and look books

  • Event or seasonal styling

  • Color analysis

  • Ongoing styling support or retainer services

Specific services purchased will be outlined in your proposal, invoice, or booking confirmation.


2. Fees & Payment

  • Full payment is required to secure all new client bookings unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • Hourly or custom services are billed at Refined’s current hourly rate.

  • Hourly balances are due at the end of each month or upon completion of services, whichever occurs first.

  • Retainer services are billed annually and are due upon enrollment.

  • Accepted payment methods include credit card, ACH, Zelle, PayPal, or other approved methods.

  • Payments made via credit card, PayPal, or banking apps are subject to a 3.1% processing fee.

  • Late payments may result in cancellation of services and are subject to a $50 late fee.


3. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds

  • All payments are non-refundable, including deposits, packages, and retainers.

  • Cancellations made less than 72 hours before a scheduled appointment are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

  • One reschedule may be accommodated at no charge if requested at least 72 hours in advance.

  • No refunds will be issued for partially completed services or dissatisfaction with styling preferences once services have been rendered.

  • All services and credits must be used within one (1) year of purchase. Unused services expire and are non-transferable.


4. Client Responsibilities

To ensure the best experience and outcome, Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate sizing, preferences, budget details, and relevant information

  • Arrive on time for scheduled appointments

  • Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may incur a charge of $1 per minute

  • Communicate openly about goals, needs, and feedback

  • Provide access to closets, wardrobes, or private locations as required

  • Make timely decisions when approvals are requested

Refined is not responsible for delays or outcomes resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or delayed information.


5. Purchases & Third-Party Items

  • All clothing and product purchases are final.

  • Clients have three (3) days from receipt to report damaged items, subject to retailer policies.

  • Any refunds from retailers will be issued only after confirmation of reimbursement to Refined, when applicable.

  • When Refined purchases items on behalf of a Client, reimbursement for items kept is due immediately upon appointment completion.

  • Clients are responsible for all shipping costs, restocking fees, and return-related charges.

  • Refined is not responsible for retailer policies, shipping delays, or third-party product defects.


6. Travel & Additional Fees

Services outside a 20-mile radius of Refined’s primary service area may incur additional charges, including:

  • Mileage at $1 per mile

  • Parking fees

  • Hotel accommodations or travel expenses for long-distance services

All additional fees will be communicated in advance.


7. Confidentiality & Marketing Use

Refined respects client privacy and maintains confidentiality of personal and financial information.
Clients grant permission for Refined to use non-identifying before-and-after photos or styling results for marketing purposes unless they opt out in writing.


8. Limitation of Liability

Refined is not liable for:

  • Fit issues, allergic reactions, or dissatisfaction with third-party products

  • Retailer or shipping delays

  • Lost, stolen, or damaged property not directly handled by Refined

Refined’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for services.


9. Indemnification

Clients agree to indemnify and hold Refined harmless from claims or damages arising from:

  • Use or misuse of purchased items

  • Inaccurate or omitted client information

  • Injuries or incidents occurring at locations provided or selected by the Client


10. Termination

Services may be terminated at Refined’s discretion if a Client:

  • Engages in inappropriate or disrespectful behavior

  • Fails to meet financial obligations

  • Creates unsafe or unreasonable service conditions

In the event of termination, all completed work and fees remain payable and non-refundable.


11. Intellectual Property

All lookbooks, styling plans, and curated materials remain the intellectual property of Refined Personal Styling. Clients receive a personal-use license only and may not reproduce, distribute, or sell these materials.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Refined Personal Styling primarily operates.


13. Agreement

By completing checkout or purchasing services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Client and Refined Personal Styling.
