Fashion Forward

1. Standing the Test of Time

In case no one ever told you: your clothing is far more powerful than you could ever imagine. Whether we like it or not, our clothes are important.

Evidence of people wearing clothes dates back as far as 30,000 BC. Throughout human history clothing has been used as a way to protect us, a demonstration of power and leadership, a means of identifying your culture or heritage, a way to associate with a group, a status symbol, and a way to hide or stand out. Today, above all else, clothing is a means of expression.

If you’ve decided to invest in this program, you are likely looking for a little guidance when it comes to what you wear. However, before we begin learning how to dress and where to shop, it’s important for you to understand the historical, cultural, and societal impact that clothing and style has.

In this segment you’ll learn about how powerful the impact of your clothing can be on your mind and on your life, as well as the impact of your clothes on the people around you. It may be hard to believe, but your clothing says a lot, and here you’ll learn how you can use clothing as a tool to help you achieve almost anything!

“Buy less. Choose well. Make it last. Quality, not quantity. Everybody's buying far too many clothes.”
